Michael Raum (born December 21, 1965 in Nuremberg ) is a German entrepreneur and founder of the Sellbytel Group GmbH.

Life

In 1988 Michael Raum founded today's company SELLBYTEL in Nuremberg . Since then, as chairman of the management board, he has been responsible for the development of the outsourcing service provider for sales, service, support and human resources. Since the integration of BBDO Worldwide as the majority shareholder in 1994, Michael Raum has been a member of the Management Board of BBDO Germany GmbH. In 1998 Raum began to internationalize the company, founded a French subsidiary and opened a service center in Lyon . In 2006 Raum sold the company SELLBYTEL to the German subsidiary of BBDO and increased its stake in BBDO Germany. In March 2007 Michael Raum was appointed to the BBDO Worldwide Board, based in New York .

In September 2018, the financial investor KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.) took over the SELLBYTEL Group together with the French Webhelp Group. Michael Raum resigned from his position as Chairman at the end of August 2019. He has been a venture capitalist and business advisor since January 2019. He is also represented in various economic committees. He is a member of the supervisory board in various companies.

Raum is married and has three children. He lives in Nuremberg-Erlenstegen .
