Michael Rieneck (* 1966 in Kiel ) is a German game designer .
So far, the games Asterix & Obelix , Druidenwalzer , Dracula and Petri Heil! in the series "Games for Two" and Around the World in 80 Days . Together with Stefan Stadler he is also the author of the games The Pillars of the Earth and The Gates of the World based on the novels of the same name by Ken Follett . All games were published by Kosmos . In autumn 2007, Cuba was published by eggertspiele and "Palastgeflüster" by Adlung-Spiele. In 2007 Die Säulen der Erde was chosen as a game of games in the category "Games Hit for Experts" and was awarded the German Games Prize and won several international awards. In 2010, Die Tore der Welt was awarded the first-ever special prize "Game of the Year Plus" . In 2009 Winning Moves published the pirate game Cartagena - The Mutiny . The qualified businessman lives in Altenholz near Kiel.
