Stefan Stadler

Stefan Stadler (born January 10, 1973 in Rodalben ) is a German game designer.

Life

Together with Michael Rieneck , the trained bookseller published the games Die Säulen der Erde in 2006 for Kosmos and Cuba in 2007 for Eggertspiele . The debut work Die Säulen der Erde reached 1st place at the German Games Prize and has received several international awards. Even Cuba took place in the game world attention and in 2007 reached the third place in the German game prize.

The third game was presented to the public at the Essen game fair 2009 with Die Tore der Welt . Like the first game, it is based on a novel of the same name by Ken Follett . Also, World Without End is a result of collaboration with Michael Rieneck and appeared also in Kosmos. In 2010, Die Tore der Welt was awarded the Game of the Year Plus critics award, which was awarded for the first time . It reached 3rd place in the German Games Prize. Other published games are Rummelplatz (Eggertspiele) and Fortuna (Gamemaster).

Stefan Stadler lives in Stuttgart and works as a game editor at Pegasus Spiele .
