Michael Ryan Patrick Dempsey (born September 10, 1918 in Chicago , Illinois , USA ; † January 8, 1974 ) was auxiliary bishop in Chicago .

Life

Michael Ryan Patrick Dempsey received on 1 May 1943, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 2, 1968, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Truentum and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Chicago. The Archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal John Cody , ordained him episcopal on June 13 of that year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Madison , Cletus Francis O'Donnell , and the Bishop of Manchester , Ernest John Primeau .
