Michael Schulte (* 1973 in Siegen , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German journalist . He lives in Berlin.

Life

Michael Schulte studied business administration and has been working in various positions for Deutschlandradio since 2000 . a. as editor and author of the children's program Kakadu and as personal assistant to the program director.

Michael Schulte co-founded the Ohrka eV association in Berlin in 2011 and has been its chairman since then. The association has been running the children's website Ohrka.de with free audio stories and radio plays for children since 2012, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media , the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth and the Federal Agency for Civic Education .

In addition, Michael Schulte and the historian Ziko van Dijk founded the online lexicon Klexikon.de in December 2014 , which is a Wikipedia alternative aimed at children between the ages of six and twelve and which has contained over 2,000 articles since November 2017. The Federal Ministry of Family Affairs has now classified the website as a "recommendable children's dictionary".
