Michael Schulze (born January 13, 1989 in Göttingen ) is a German football player .

Career

Schulze learned to play football at SSV Vorsfelde . He has been playing for VfL Wolfsburg since 2001 . In 2008 he made his first appearances in the reserve team and established himself in the regular team.

For the 2009/10 season Schulze received his first professional contract, but continued to collect his game experience in the U-23 in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nord . On the 1st match day of the 2011/12 season Schulze made his Bundesliga debut when he came on for Makoto Hasebe in the 84th minute of the Wolfsburg 3-0 away win at 1. FC Cologne . In the first half of the season, however, he only came to another Bundesliga appearance for VfL.

On January 29, 2013 Schulze moved to the 2nd Bundesliga on loan to FC Energie Cottbus until the end of the season . For the 2013/14 season he finally moved to Cottbus and signed a contract until June 30, 2016.

After the Cottbus team was relegated to the third division , Schulze moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern on May 29, 2014 . After 36 games in the second division for FCK, his contract was terminated at the end of August 2016. In January 2017, Schulze joined the second team from Eintracht Braunschweig . On May 14, 2017, Schulze first appeared in the first team of Eintracht. In August 2017, he moved to Sportfreunde Lotte in the third division .
