Michael Sopkiw

Michael Sopkiw (born January 12, 1954 in Hartford , Connecticut ) is a former American actor .

Sopkiw made a living as a seaman but was released for marijuana smuggling and turned to an acting career after his imprisonment while taking classes in New York City . Shooting for a commercial in London was followed by a modeling contract. In 1983 he was discovered by producer Luciano Martino; a short career in the leading roles of four action films from the adventurous milieu followed, which put emphasis on his physique. In addition to the end-time film Fireflash (by Sergio Martino ) and the crime strip Blastfighter , Sopkiw was seen in Monster Shark (both by Lamberto Bava ). He shot the last of his works in Brazil under the direction of Michele Massimo Tarantini .

After the end of his short career, Sopkiw turned to the study of medicinal plants. His company Miron Glass produces glass containers that protect against sunlight.
