Michael Szymoniuk (born February 16, 1980 ) is a former Austrian triathlete . He is multiple national champion in cross triathlon (2009, 2013, 2014).

Career

In July 2009 he became national champion in cross triathlon and was able to repeat this success in 2013 and again in 2014 in Berndorf near Salzburg .

In the triathlon state championship over the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running) he finished fourth behind the winner Nikolaus Wihlidal in Obertrum in July 2014 . The then 37-year-old finished 15th in the World Cross Triathlon Championships in Canada in August 2017. He has not appeared internationally since 2017.

Michael Szymoniuk studied at the Danube University Krems . He lives in Vienna and works in marketing.
