Michael Urban (born August 1, 1983 in Tübingen ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The defender played for SV 03 Tübingen , from which he moved to SSV Reutlingen 05 in 2001 . On August 25, 2002 Michael Urban made his professional debut on the 3rd match day of the 2002/03 season in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2-1 away win of SSV Reutlingen against Eintracht Braunschweig . After he was relegated without further season use with the SSV and his club did not receive a license for the Regionalliga Süd , Urban joined Reutlingen in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg from the following season . After 58 league appearances in which he scored two goals, Michael Urban rose at the end of the 2005/06 season with SSV Reutlingen in the Regionalliga Süd. After he came to 13 missions for Reutlingen in the 2006/07 regional league season , he went to 1. FC Heidenheim , for whom he came to eleven missions and one goal in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . Urban rose to the Regionalliga Süd with 1. FC Heidenheim and won the Württemberg Football Cup in 2008 . After a serious knee injury, he played for the 2nd team of 1. FC Heidenheim in the regional league, season 2. Here he rose in 2010 to the Württemberg Association as a champion. In July 2011 he joined the TSF Ludwigsfeld. From the 2012/13 season, Michael Urban trained TSF Ludwigsfeld in the A2 Donau / Iller district league. In January 2015 Michael Urban moved back to his hometown club SV 03 Tübingen. In the 2015/2016 season he was with SV 03 Tübingen champion in the District League Alb and thus rose to the state league. After ending his active career after the 2016/2017 season, he is now head of the soccer department at SV 03 Tübingen.
