Michael Weckler , pseudonym Jens Kersten , (* 1942 ; † May 10, 2008 in Hamburg ) was a German actor , director and voice actor .

Life

Michael Weckler completed an acting training in Hamburg from 1961 to 1963 and had numerous engagements at several Hamburg theaters from 1961 to 1974, e.g. B. the Ohnsorg Theater , Ernst Deutsch Theater or the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg .

From 1974 to 1981 Weckler worked as a director and producer of radio plays for the Phonogram / Philips and Peggy labels . As a spokesperson, he has also participated in numerous productions for the labels Europa , Karussell , TELDEC and Maritim , often under the pseudonym Jens Kersten . For some radio play productions by Hans-Joachim Herwald , he directed the dialogue together with him.

One of his best-known productions was the children's radio play for the Maxifant and Minifant television series with puppeteers Rudolf Fischer and Wolfgang Buresch . He also acted as a director for the one on the book Bambi. A children's radio play Bambi (1974) based on a life story from the forest .

From 1976 to 1977 Weckler had his own television series for children with “Little Man in the Ear”, in which he played the leading role. In it he acted as a troubled contemporary in whose ear a little man had nested. The little man was spoken by Wolfgang Buresch, but he was not in the series itself.

From 1981 Weckler was a freelance actor, dubbing writer, voice actor and director in Hamburg. He is the father of Saskia Weckler .
