Michael Well (born October 10, 1958 in Günzlhofen ) is a Bavarian musician . He is known as a member of the now defunct Biermösl Blosn .

Life

Michael Well grew up in the family of 17 of the schoolmaster Hermann Well and his wife Gertraud from the village of Günzlhofen near Fürstenfeldbruck . After training as an educator, she briefly studied social pedagogy. But he is also a trained solo tuba player and baritone player. The Biermösl Blosn began in 1976 with folk music performances, as they had previously performed under the guidance of their father. The music group consisting of Christoph , Michael and Hans Well combined Bavarian folk music ( Stubnmusi ) and dialect with political and satirical texts and can therefore be counted as part of the so-called new folk music . It gained nationwide notoriety when in 1981 - "accidentally" invited to the traditional Maibock tapping in Munich's Hofbräuhaus - the ruling party CSU in connection with the mass arrest of Nuremberg in front of the assembled ministers and members of the state parliament and thus caused a political scandal. Biermösl Blosn often worked with Gerhard Polt , occasionally appeared on the ARD program Scheibenwischer and was a critical companion of Bavarian politics for the next three decades. The last performance took place on January 18, 2012. The group broke up after internal differences. Michael and Christoph Well started in February 2012 at the Münchner Kammerspiele with a house music evening directed by Franz Wittenbrink , together with their sisters Moni, Vroni and Burgi from the Wellküren group . This formation has since appeared under the name Geschwister Well . He also founded the group "Wellbrüder aus'm Biermoos" with Christoph and Karl Well, which also appears with Gerhard Polt in the cast and style of Biermösl Blosn. A biography of Biermösl Blosn from the point of view of Michael and Christoph Well under the title "Biermösl Blosn - Tokyo - Cape Town - Hausen" was published in early April 2013.
