The Wellküren are a Bavarian folk music and cabaret group that has been part of three sisters since 1986 and belongs to the new folk music .
The group
The founders Moni , Vroni and Burgi come from the 17-member folk musician family of the village school teacher Hermann Well and his wife Gertraud from Günzlhofen near Fürstenfeldbruck , who also produced the Biermösl Blosn and the Well-Buam . From 1986 they celebrated successes on cabaret stages with three-part singing , harp , guitar , saxophone and nun's violin . With the cabaret artist Maria Peschek they started their first joint program Jetz schau ma mal, na seng 'ma's scho in 1987 in the restaurant of the Munich laughing and shooting society .
In their programs, in seemingly harmless traditional Bavarian singing, they deal with a broad and current range of topics, starting with some adversities in the household, including relationships between the sexes and the political conditions in Bavaria, and wrapping them up in a witty and subtle way. They do not shy away from fields such as contraception or rotten meat, which are poorly conceivable in traditional folk music, which they also master.
After 18 years on stage, Sister Vroni said goodbye to the well-being in 2005. Her successor was her sister Bärbi, and the new line-up first appeared on stage in 2005 with the program Stubenmusik macht addicting .
The group has received numerous prizes and awards. For their services to the Bavarian dialect they were awarded in 2008 after Alfred Reisinger (2005), Benedict XVI. (2006) and Hans-Jürgen Buchner ( Haindling ) (2007) were awarded the Bavarian language root , making them the first female award winners.
After the dissolution of the Biermösl Blosn , the three sisters, together with their brothers Karl, Michael and Christoph Well , brought the program “Fein sein beinander bleibn”, directed by Franz Wittenbrink, onto the stage of the Münchner Kammerspiele in February 2012 .

Despite all the irony, the show on the 30th of the Wellküren is also a political rally. For the premiere of their anniversary program, they founded the STUGIDA “Stubenmusi against the idiotization of the West” on two evenings with their devotedly listening and well-entertained audience.
