Michael Fitzgerald Wong , actually Wong Man-tak ( Chinese  王敏德 , Pinyin Wáng Mǐndé ; born April 16, 1965 in Troy , New York ) is a Chinese-American actor . The 1986 action film Ultra Force , starring Michelle Yeoh and Hiroyuki Sanada , also made him known to Western audiences. He has played in over 100 productions so far.

Life

Michael Wong was born in Troy, New York. After graduating from high school, he decided to go to Hong Kong . His debut in 1983 was the kung fu film "Invincible Obsessed Fighters". The next film, "Royal Warriors aka In the Line of Duty ", shaped the role of the tough outsider. In 1986 he starred in Ronny Yu's Legacy of Rage with Bruce Lee's son Brandon Lee . He later starred alongside Lee's daughter Shannon Lee in Enter the Eagles . In Knock off by Tsui Hark he was allowed to play alongside the Belgian martial artist Jean Claude van Damme and the American comedian Rob Schneider .

His brothers Russell Wong and Declan Wong are also actors in the Hong Kong film industry.

He is married to model Janet Ma and has a son, Kadin Miles Wong, and two older daughters, Kayla Wong and Irisa Shannon Wong.
