Michaela Ek (born February 1, 1988 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish handball player .
Career
Michaela Ek started playing handball at the age of six at Skövde HF , with whose women's team she later played in the Elitserien . In 2015, the outside player joined the Danish first division team Silkeborg-Voel KFUM . After just one season, she moved to league rivals Ringkøbing Håndbold . In March 2017, she announced her pregnancy. After a break, she joined the Norwegian second division team TIF Viking for the 2018/19 season.
Michaela Ek has so far played 12 international matches for the Swedish national team , in which she scored 10 goals. She was part of the Swedish contingent for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
Private
Ek is in a relationship with the Danish handball player Kasper Gudnitz .
