Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce

Under the name Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce are pearl and sparkling wines produced. The growing area for this is in the province of Modena in Emilia-Romagna and has had a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1970 , which was last updated on March 7, 2014.

Growing area

Cultivation and vinification of the products is only permitted in the municipalities of Cavezzo , Concordia sulla Secchia , Medolla , Novi, San Felice sul Panaro , San Possidonio and in parts of the municipalities of Campogalliano , Camposanto , Carpi , Finale Emilia , Mirandola , Modena and Soliera - all of them in the province of Modena .

In 2017, 212,202 hectoliters of DOC wine were produced.

Only red and pink pearl and sparkling wines ( Spumante produced), respective versions of Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce and Lambrusco Salamino di Santa Croce Rosato . The products are cuvées made from at least 85% of the Lambrusco Salamino grape variety . A maximum of 15% other Lambruschi and / or Ancellotta and / or Fortana may be added - individually or together.
