Colli Bolognesi
Colli Bolognesi (German Bolognese hills ) is an Italian wine-growing region in the metropolitan city of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna . The wine produced here has had a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1975 , which was last updated on March 7, 2014.
Growing area
The large number of affiliated municipalities ( Monteveglio , Castello di Serravalle , Monte San Pietro , Sasso Marconi , Savigno , Marzabotto and Pianoro as well as in parts of the municipalities of Bazzano , Crespellano , Casalecchio di Reno , Bologna , San Lazzaro di Savena , Zola Predosa and Monterenzio in the metropolitan city of Bologna and in parts of Savignano sul Panaro in the province of Modena ) and the abundance of permitted grape varieties make this DOC region a complex structure of names and wines.

The following types of wine are produced and marketed: (At least 85% of the named grape variety must be included. A maximum of 15% other analogous grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added - individually or together).

Within the growing area there is a sub-zone ( sottozona) called "Bologna", which is shown separately (Appendix A).
Growing area
Cultivation and vinification of these wines are only permitted in the municipalities of Monteveglio , Castello di Serravalle and Monte San Pietro as well as in parts of the municipalities of Bologna , Bazzano , Marzabotto , Pianoro , Crespellano , Savigno , Casalecchio di Reno , Sasso Marconi , San Lazzaro di Savena , Zola Predosa and Savignano sul Panaro .

There are red , white and sparkling wines produced.
- Colli Bolognesi Bologna Rosso: must contain at least 50% Cabernet Sauvignon . A maximum of 50% of other red grape varieties approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
- Colli Bolognesi Bologna Bianco: must contain at least 50% Sauvignon Blanc . A maximum of 50% other white grape varieties approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
- Colli Bolognesi Bologna Spumante: must contain at least 40% Chardonnay and / or Pinot bianco . A maximum of 60% Sauvignon Blanc , Riesling , Pinot nero and / or Pignoletto may be added - individually or together.
