Zola Predosa is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 19,095 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 11 kilometers west of Bologna .

Transport and economy

The A1 Autostrada runs through the municipality . However, there is no connection point to the site. The former Strada Statale 569 has now been downgraded to a provincial road. A stop on the electrified railway line from Casalecchio di Reno to Vignola provides the connection to the rail network. Zola Predosa has become known as an industrial location for the metalworking industry, as a supplier for vehicles.
