Dozza is an Italian municipality with 6629 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna and is a member of the association I borghi più belli d'Italia (The Most Beautiful Places in Italy).

The neighboring municipalities are Casalfiumanese , Castel Guelfo di Bologna , Castel San Pietro Terme and Imola .

Attractions

Dozza is world famous for its Biennale del Muro Dipinto , an event where well-known domestic and foreign artists add permanent works of art to the walls of this small town's homes. Another attraction is the Rocca Sforzesca, the castle of the Sforzas , which houses the wine café of the Emilia-Romagna region . Also worth seeing is the parish church, where the painting Madonna col Bambino fra i santi Giovanni Battista e Margherita (1492) by Marco Palmezzano should be mentioned. The town hall is in the medieval village of Dozza, but the largest residential and industrial area is Toscanella.
