Mordano is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4739 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 38.5 kilometers east-southeast of Bologna and borders directly on the province of Ravenna . Mordano is the easternmost municipality in the province of Bologna. In the north of the municipality, the Canale Emiliano Romagnolo stretches from west to east . The eastern boundary of the municipality is the Santerno .
