Camugnano is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1843 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 42 kilometers southwest of Bologna on the Parco regional dei laghi Suviana e Brasimone . Camugnano borders the provinces of Pistoia and Prato . Part of the Lago di Suviana lies in the western municipality, the Lago di Brasimone completely in the southeast of the municipality.
