Fontanelice is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1955 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 32.5 kilometers southeast of Bologna on the Santerno . Fontanelice is part of the Comunità Montana Valle del Santerno and borders directly on the province of Ravenna .
