Crevalcore is an Italian city with 13,784 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality borders directly on the provinces of Ferrara and Modena . Crevalcore has held the title città (city) since 2000 . The municipality is located about 29 kilometers northwest of Bologna , about 19 kilometers northeast of Modena and about 38 kilometers southwest of Ferrara .

The railway line from Verona to Bologna runs through the municipality . In the community there were previously two stops in Crevalcore and Bolognina. Today only the station in Crevalcore remains. The former railway line from Modena to Ferrara, which also ran through the municipality, has been closed since 1956.
