Vignola (German outdated Walzburg ) is an Italian municipality with 25,717 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Modena . The Unione Terre di Castelli (Union of the Lands of Castles) has its seat here.
economy
Vignola's economy is still partly dominated by agriculture, but is tied to fruit growing (cherries, plums ...) and their marketing and processing. The cherry from Vignola, the "Mora di Vignola" (dark red from Vignola), is known nationwide.
The machine and service industries are also important.

Festivals
During the cherry blossom season (March - April), a festival dedicated to her is held every year, the Festa dei ciliegi in fiore : floats decorated with flowers pull through the city, from which flowers and sweets are thrown at the audience. A few weeks after the flowering period (first weekend in June) the exhibition “Vignola è tempo di ciliegie” (Vignola, the time of the cherries) begins, a celebration of the typical fruit of Vignola.
