Novi di Modena is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 10,005 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Modena in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 27.5 kilometers north of Modena in the Po Valley . Novi di Modena was one of the four municipalities of the Union Terre d'Argine . It borders directly on the provinces of Mantua ( Lombardy ) and Reggio Emilia .
