Colli Bolognesi Classico Pignoletto

The Colli Bolognesi Classico Pignoletto is an Italian white wine that is produced in the Emilia-Romagna region . The wine has had a "controlled and guaranteed designation of origin " ( Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita - DOCG) since November 8, 2010 , which was last updated on March 7, 2014. From 1997 to 2010 the wine had the lower level of a "controlled designation of origin" ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC).

Growing area

Cultivation and vinification are permitted in the following municipalities : Albinea , Quattro Castella , Bibbiano , Montecchio , San Polo d'Enza , Canossa , Vezzano sul Crostolo , Viano , Scandiano , Castellarano and Casalgrande as well as in parts of the municipalities of Reggio Emilia , Casina , Sant ' Ilario d'Enza and Cavriago .

At least 95% of the wine must be made from the Grechetto grape variety (also known locally as Pignoletto ). A maximum of 5% other analogue grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
