Vezzano sul Crostolo is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4273 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Reggio Emilia in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 13 kilometers south-southwest of Reggio nell'Emilia .

history

On June 23, 1944, 32 civilians were murdered by German soldiers in the so-called blood bath of Bettola (a district of Vezzano).
