history

The origins of Bibbianos can hardly be determined: Settlements from the Stone Age can be proven, a permanent settlement probably only existed in Roman antiquity, which may have been called Vibianus or Baebianus fundus and denoted a fertile area.

In the summer of 2019, the city was shaken by a child trafficking scandal.

traffic

The Bibbiano stop is on the non-electrified railway line from Reggio nell'Emilia to Canossa-Ciano d'Enza . The district of Piazzola also has another stop.
