Toano is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 4,329 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Reggio Emilia in Emilia-Romagna . The municipality is located about 35.5 kilometers south-southwest of Reggio nell'Emilia in the Apennines between Dolo and Secchia .
