Colli di Faenza
The Colli di Faenza (dt. Hills of Faenza) are an Italian wine-growing region in the province of Ravenna ( Emilia-Romagna region ), which has had a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1997 , the last on March 7th 2014 was updated.
Growing area
Cultivation and vinification are permitted in the municipalities of Brisighella , Casola Valsenio , Riolo Terme and parts of the municipalities of Faenza and Castel Bolognese - all in the province of Ravenna .
generation
A white and a red blend wine (cuvée) are produced under this name, as well as three single-origin wines:
- Blending wines
- Colli di Faenza Bianco: must be at least 40-60% of the grape variety Chardonnay exist. A maximum of 60–40% Grechetto (locally also called Pignoletto ) and / or Pinot bianco and / or Sauvignon Blanc and / or Trebbiano Romagnolo may be added.
- Colli di Faenza Rosso: must consist of at least 40–60% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes . A maximum of 60–40% Ancellotta and / or Ciliegiolo and / or Merlot and / or Sangiovese may be added.
- single-variety wines
- Colli di Faenza Pinot bianco: 100% Pinot bianco
- Colli di Faenza Sangiovese: 100% Sangiovese
- Colli di Faenza Trebbiano: 100% Trebbiano Romagnolo
