Colli di Parma (Eng. Hills of Parma) is an Italian wine-growing region in the province of Parma ( Emilia-Romagna region ), which has had a "controlled designation of origin " ( Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC) since 1982 , the last one on March 7, 2014 has been updated.

Growing area

Cultivation and vinification are permitted in the municipalities of Sala Baganza , Calestano , Collecchio , Felino , Fidenza , Fornovo di Taro , Langhirano , Lesignano dè Bagni , Medesano , Neviano degli Arduini , Noceto , Salsomaggiore Terme , Terenzo , Traversetolo and Varano dè Melegari - all in the province of Parma .

  • Colli di Parma Cabernet Sauvignon : A maximum of 15% other analogue grape varieties (except Lambrusco) that are approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
  • Colli di Parma Barbera: (also as Frizzante) A maximum of 15% other analogous grape varieties (except Lambrusco) that are approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
  • Colli di Parma Bonarda: (also as Frizzante) A maximum of 15% other analogous grape varieties (except Lambrusco) that are approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
  • Colli di Parma Lambrusco (also called Frizzante): a maximum of 15% other analogous grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
95% varietal wines
  • Colli di Parma Sauvignon : (also as Frizzante and Spumante) A maximum of 5% other analogue grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
  • Colli di Parma Chardonnay: (also as Frizzante and Spumante) A maximum of 5% other analogue grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
  • Colli di Parma Pinot Bianco : (also as Frizzante and Spumante) A maximum of 5% other analogue grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
  • Colli di Parma Pinot Grigio : (also as a frizzante) A maximum of 5% other analogue grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Emilia-Romagna region may be added.
