Mikhail Alexandrowitsch Weikone
Mikhail Alexandrovich Weikone ( Russian Михаил Александрович Вейконе ; born October 7 . Jul / 19th October 1871 greg. In Saint Petersburg , † 1921 or 1922) was a Russian journalist, translator, theater critic and author.
Life
In Russia, Weikone was mainly active as a journalist. He wrote for Русская жизнь , was co-editor and theater critic of the newspaper Северный Курьер , later he published magazines such as Театр . He was also one of the editors of the second edition (1905/07) of the Russian encyclopedia ( Энциклопедический словарь Ф. Павленкова ) published by Florenti Pavlenkow in Petersburg , for which he also edited the entries for the letters from «Л» .
Even then he was writing for the theater, for example with Mawriki Girschman under the common pseudonym “Gione” . From 1910 he also appeared as a co-author of libretti for the German and Austrian stages. He wrote texts for the popular operettas Alt-Wien and Der lila Domino and the successful farce Große Raisinen! .
