Michala Banas

Michala Elizabeth Laurinda Banas (born November 14, 1978 in Wellington , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand actress and singer .

life and career

Michala Elizabeth Laurinda Banas was born in Wellington, New Zealand in 1978. When she was ten, she moved with her family to Australia, where she still lives today. Michala is the daughter of successful producer and screenwriter John Banas .

She has appeared in numerous New Zealand and Australian television series such as The Lost World and In Murder . In 2002 she appeared alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze junior in the movie Scooby-Doo . In 2003 she released the song Kissin 'The Wind . From 2004 to 2009 she was part of the regular cast of the successful Australian series McLeod's Daughters in the role of Kate . She repeatedly plays in smaller theater productions that are close to her heart (Melbourne Theathre, Shakespeare Republic) and is committed to social projects.

In an interview, Michala said that her favorite role from McLeod's daughters is Jodi Fountain (played by Rachael Carpani ) and that she gets on very well with her in private. Literally she said about Jodi: "She's fun and bubbly and brings light to the show."
