Rachael Carpani

Rachael Ann Carpani (born August 24, 1980 in Sydney , New South Wales , Australia ) is an Australian actress .

life and career

Carpani was born the eldest of three children to Australian Gael and Italian Tony and grew up with her sister Georgia and brother Nick on an estate near Dural in Sydney's Hills District .

As a child, she appeared in a few television productions and commercials, but mainly focused on school, which was very important to her academic family, and made her grades among the 10 percent of the best graduates in New South Wales .

After graduating from high school, she studied media, arts and culture at Macquarie University's Australian College of Entertainment and received her diploma. In addition, she devoted herself to theater studies with a major in writing, which she interrupted in her final year of study to take on a role in the series McLeod's Daughters . From 2001 to 2007 she played the role of Jodi Fountain-McLeod in the successful Australian series .

After her departure from McLeod's daughters , she moved to the United States , where she played a recurring role on the CBS series Cane in 2007 and a leading role in the Lifetime series Against the Wall in 2011 . In 2010 she also appeared in several episodes of The Glades . In 2014 the Pittsburgh Independent Film Festival ran the drama The Umbrella Man , in which Carpani played a leading role alongside Abbie Cobb . In 2015 she was seen in the TV films If There Be Thorns and Seeds of Yesterday , which are based on novels by Virginia C. Andrews . From 2017 to 2018, she played a recurring role in the Australian drama series 800 Words . In 2020 she starred in the comedy The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee , in which she played Paul Hogan's manager .

Trivia

Rachael Carpani's hobbies are skiing and cinder track racing.

She has made very good friends in Simmone Jade Mackinnon and Michala Banas from McLeod's daughters .

From 2006 to 2011 Carpani was in a relationship with actor Matt Passmore , who also starred as Marcus Turner in the series McLeod's Daughters .
