Simmone Jade Mackinnon

Simmone Jade Mackinnon (born March 19, 1973 in Mount Isa , Queensland ) is an Australian actress .

life and career

Mackinnon used to work as a dancer and toured Australia and Asia with the musical Cats (in the role of Cassandra ), but had to give up this job after a knee injury and was part of the regular cast of the successful Australian series McLeod's Daughters from 2003 to 2009 . An excellent rider, she turned out to be ideal for the role of rodeo rider Stevie Hall . She was previously part of the regular cast of the US series Baywatch for one season (season 10) and starred in Deep Shock with Sean Whalen . She made her debut as a film actress in the film Attila in 2001 in a double role.

In 2004 she was nominated for the Logie Award as best newcomer and in 2007 for the Silver and Golden Awards. In 2009 she was nominated again.

Mackinnon lived in Gawler (north of Adelaide ) in South Australia while filming McLeod's Daughters .

Mackinnon gave birth to a son on March 19, 2010.
