Michel Pech (born June 4, 1946 in Montrouge , † September 20, 2012 in Sigean ) was a French football player .
Career
Pech was born in the suburb of Paris and began his career there at RC Joinville from Joinville-le-Pont . In the 1967/68 season the club played in the second division and the young talent has already been used 25 times. After a brief stop at USM Malakoff , Pech signed with first division club FC Nantes . This prevented him from participating in the Olympic Games for which he was nominated. He had previously participated in qualifying for the tournament. In Nantes he also became a regular player and was also successful as a goalscorer with six goals in his first season there. In 1970 and 1973 he was in the cup final, but could not win the title. However, he won the championship title in 1973 with Nantes. A year later he was used in a game against the A team of Luxembourg in the French B national team, which was his only game for the selection. In 1975 bad luck moved to Olympique Avignon , where he had to accept relegation to the second division in 1976 . From 1977 to 1978 AC Arles was the last stop in his career. After the end of his career, he worked in a bank in Sigean in the south of France, where his family came from. In 2012 he died there of cancer.
