Michele Mitchell
Michele Mitchell (born January 10, 1962 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is a former American diver . She took part in two Olympic Games and won two silver medals.
Career
Michele Mitchell graduated from the University of Arizona . She took part in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles . In the diving platform competition , Mitchell won the silver medal behind Chinese Zhou Jihong . In 1987 she started at the Pan American Games in Indianapolis . There she won the gold medal from the ten-meter tower. In Seoul , at the 1988 Summer Olympics , Michele Mitchell started again in the diving platform competition. Like four years earlier, she won Olympic silver. This time only the Chinese Xu Yanmei lay in front of her .
