Michelle Mone Georgina, Baroness Mone , OBE (* 8. October 1971 in Glasgow , Scotland as Michelle Georgina Allan ) is a British entrepreneur and politician .
In 1989 she married Michael Mone. She has three children with him. The marriage was divorced in 2011.
She first worked as a model . From 1996 she founded and established the lingerie brand Ultimo together with her husband . In 2010 she was named Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her entrepreneurial achievements . In 2014 she sold the majority of her company shares and withdrew from the management in 2015.
On September 30, 2015, she was elevated to a Life Peeress with the title Baroness Mone , of Mayfair in the City of Westminster . She thereby became a member of the House of Lords . In parliament she is on the side of the Conservative Party .
