Michelle Tracy Sammons (born September 11, 1987 in Kempton Park ) is a South African tennis player .

Career

Sammons mostly plays on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour , where she has won one title in singles and six in doubles.

Sammons made her debut on the WTA Tour at the side of Carolin Daniels in doubles at the Internationaux de Strasbourg , where they reached the quarter-finals with a three-set win over Alena Fomina and Petra Krejsová , but then against the British pairing Jocelyn Rae and Anna Smith lost 3-6 and 4-6. At the Lorraine Open 88 2015 Sammons reached the quarterfinals together with Michaela Boev , as well as at the Coleman Vision Tennis Championships 2015 together with Varatchaya Wongteanchai .

In 2006 Sammons made her debut in the South African Fed Cup team , where she was also used in 2015 and 2016 and was able to win one in five appearances in doubles.

Sammons played her last professional tournament in March 2016 and has not been in the world rankings since February 2017.
