Mickey Sumner (born Birgitte Michael Sumner in London on January 19, 1984 ) is a British actress .

Career

Sumner played roles in various short films at the beginning of her career from 2006. In 2011 she played the role of Francesca in four episodes of the Showtime series The Borgias .

In the critically acclaimed independent film Frances Ha , she played the role of Sophie Levee alongside Greta Gerwig . In 2013, Sumner played the role of Patti Smith in the film CBGB and made her theatrical debut in April in The Lying Lesson for the Atlantic Theater Company. She also had a supporting role in the UK miniseries Low Winter Sun in six episodes in 2013 .

Since 2020 Sumner can be seen in the series Snowpiecer in a leading role.

Life

Sumner was born on January 19, 1984 at Portland Hospital in London. She is the oldest of the four children of the British musician Sting (real name Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner) and his wife, the actress Trudie Styler . In June 2016 she got engaged to Chris Kantrowitz, CEO of Gobbler, and in July 2017 the two married in Tuscania , Italy.
