Trudie Styler (born January 6, 1954 in Bromsgrove , England ) is a British actress and film producer .

life and work

Styler studied acting at the Bristol Old Vic Theater School . As producer of the docudrama Berge versetzen (1994) by Michael Apted , Styler won the Crystal Heart Award of the Heartland Film Festival and the International Documentary Association Award in 1994 .

After living with the British musician Sting for many years , she married him on August 20, 1992. This relationship resulted in four children. Together with her husband and the commitment of the Brazilian Kayapo Indians, she founded the Rainforest Foundation in 1989 to save the rainforest and protect the rights of the indigenous people.

In 2019 she was appointed to the competition jury of the 69th Berlin International Film Festival .
