architecture
The building was built between 1899 and 1900 and has a diaphragm , a hipped roof and a richly structured polychrome facade with figurative decoration. It was built by Felix Schmidt based on a facade design by Ernst Haiger , who was also designed by the American Henry Helbig. The facade is five-axis and structured by colored pillars. These rest on a base that is slightly raised in the middle three axes. On the third floor there are arched windows, whereas otherwise rectangular windows have been installed. The building is an example of the classifying Art Nouveau in Munich. Classic architectural elements were combined with polychromy and gilding of some decorative reliefs. The entrance gate is still under construction. The building is registered as a protected cultural asset . The left basement was nevertheless disadvantageously changed by the installation of a shop, and the building on the top floor is no longer in its original state.
