Mieze Mardner-Klaas

Mieze Mardner-Klaas (born May 14, 1884 in Dortmund , † November 14, 1950 in Göttingen , actually Christine Wilhelmine Mardner, née Klaas ) was a German painter .

She studied in Munich , Düsseldorf and Switzerland and was a student of the painters Erich von Perfall and Ernst Hodel . Her work consists essentially of landscape pictures, mainly of the (Swiss) Alps and the Weser Uplands , where she lived since the Second World War . Her works are mostly signed with "KLAAS".
