Miguel Augustus Francisco Ribeiro

Miguel Augustus Francisco Ribeiro (born February 2, 1904 in Cape Coast , † unknown) was a Ghanaian diplomat .

Career

The educated teacher Ribeiro came from a Brazilian Tabom family . Between September 2, 1959 and April 3, 1962, Ribeiro was accredited as the first ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Addis Ababa . From 1962 to 1963 he was the successor to Theodore Owusu Asare Ghanaian ambassador to the German capital Bonn . Ribeiro was accredited as Ambassador to Washington, DC between April 25, 1963 and August 8, 1966. On August 9, 1963, he signed the Treaty of Ban on Nuclear Weapons Tests in the Atmosphere, in Space and Underwater for the Ghanaian government . Following his work in the United States, Ribeiro was accredited as ambassador to Rome until 1970/71 .
