Juan Miguel Basulto Medina (born January 7, 1992 in Ocotlán , Jalisco ) is a Mexican football player on the position of defender .

career

Basulto is under contract with Club Deportivo Guadalajara , where he has rarely been used. Basulto made his debut in the top Mexican division on January 12, 2013 in an away game at Santos Laguna , which was lost 2-0.

In order to allow Basulto more match practice, he was loaned to the second division Leones Negros in the Clausura 2014 , who achieved promotion to the first division at the end of the season. He spent the 2014/15 season on loan with the Coras de Tepic , with whom he reached the finals of the Apertura 2014 and only lost on penalties against the traditional club Necaxa . Basulto scored his only goal so far in a league game for the Coras in the home game against CD Irapuato on January 18, 2015 , which was won 2-1.

Since the summer of 2015 Basulto has been part of the first team of the CD Guadalajara again. In Apertura 2015 he was part of the winning team that won the Mexican Cup competition (with a 1-0 final win against Club León ).

Before starting his professional career, Basulto played all the games of the Mexican U-17 national team at the U-17 World Cup in 2009 , in which Mexico was eliminated in the round of 16 against South Korea. In the preliminary round match against Brazil, Basulto scored the winning goal to make it 1-0.
