Miguel Ximénez , full name Miguel Alejandro Ximénez Acosta , (born August 26, 1977 in Maldonado ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.77 meter tall offensive player Ximénez was at the beginning of his career from 1997 to mid-2002 in the ranks of the Deportivo Maldonado team . In the second half of the year he played on loan for Club Atlético Atenas . After returning to Deportivo Maldonado, he was a member of their professional squad until the end of 2003. The following year he played 22 games in the Primera División for Plaza Colonia and scored 17 goals. In other sources he is reported that year as a 16-time goalscorer together with Carlos Bueno as the top scorer of the Torneo Clasificatorio 2004 . In the first seven months of 2005 he was active in Guatemala at CSD Comunicaciones . He then moved to Danubio FC . In the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons he was used in 19 first division matches with the Montevideans and scored five goals. In the Clausura 2007 he played 15 times for the Montevideo Wanderers and scored twelve times in the opposing goal. From the end of July 2007 until shortly before the end of the year he will then be listed as a player at Atlético Junior . After that, Sporting Cristal was his employer until the end of 2008. With the Peruvians he appeared as a goal scorer a total of 32 times in 42 first division appearances. This was followed by a commitment until January 2008 with six personal goalscoring in the league, seven appearances (two goals) in the Copa Libertadores 2009 and one (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2009 at Club Libertad in Paraguay . He then returned to Sporting Cristal. During this second phase of club membership, he came 57 times in the Primera División for use and scored 25 goals. In January 2012, Universitario de Deportes signed him . At the club from Lima , he was similarly dangerous with 24 goals scored in 56 first division appearances. In mid-January 2010 he moved back to Deportivo Maldonado in his hometown. In the Clausura 2014 he played twelve games in the Segunda División and scored five times into the opposing goal. From the end of July 2014 he continued his sporting career at Club Sportivo Cienciano . The statistics show him 21 first division appearances (four goals) and two (no goal) in the Copa Inca . Since January 2016 he has been a member of the Club Atlético Atenas squad again. At the club from San Caros , he played ten games in the second-highest Uruguayan division and scored two goals. At the end of October 2016 he announced the end of his career and his intention to work as a trainer in the future. However, it was reported in April 2017 that he had joined the amateur club Club Ituzaingó from Punta del Este after this last professional station .
