Mihai Tararache [ miχaʲ tararake ] (born October 25, 1977 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian football player . He played a total of 341 games in the Romanian League 1 , the Swiss Super League and the German Bundesliga . In 2001, 2003 and 2006 he won the Swiss championship.

Career

The 1.80 m tall defensive player began his professional career in 1993 with Gloria Bistrița , switched to Dinamo Bucharest in 1994 and to Grasshopper Club Zurich in July 1998 . Since July 2004 he played for FC Zurich . There he had a contract until June 2006. From this contract he was bought out by the German Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg in January 2006 and subsequently played at Wedau until 2011. The transfer fee was € 500,000. After his contract ended, he ended his active career.

National team

Between 2001 and 2005 Tararache played four international matches for the Romanian national team . He was first called up in August 2001 by interim coach Gavril Balint for a friendly against Slovenia , where he came on in the 57th minute for Dorinel Munteanu . In the following games belonged to the squad of the new national coach Gheorghe Hagi , but was not used. After more than two years of hiatus, Tararache was nominated in February 2004 by Anghel Iordănescu for a tournament in Cyprus and came on again in the first game against Georgia . It then took almost a year before he started the World Cup qualifier against Armenia in November 2004 for the first time. On August 17, 2005, he played his last international match against Andorra .
