Mike Bull

Mike Bull (actually Michael Anthony Bull; born September 11, 1946 in Belfast ) is a former British pole vaulter and decathlete .

In 1966 , he won silver for Northern Ireland in the pole vault at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 . At the European Athletics Championships in Budapest , he finished 16th. In 1968 he finished eighth at the European Indoor Games in Madrid and came 13th at the Olympic Games in Mexico City . At the European Championship in Athens in 1969 he was seventh.

In 1970 he was seventh at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Vienna . At the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh he won the pole vault and was eighth with the Northern Irish team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 1971 he did not succeed in qualifying at the pole vault of the European Championships in Helsinki . In 1972 he finished sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Grenoble and was eliminated in the first round at the Olympic Games in Munich .

In 1974 he won the decathlon at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch and took silver in the pole vault. At the European Championships in Rome he remained in the pole vault without a valid attempt.

At the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton in 1978 , he was ninth in the decathlon.
