Michael Allen "Mike" Lambert (born April 14, 1974 in Kāneʻohe , Hawaii ) is a former American volleyball and beach volleyball player . He took part in the Olympic Games twice.

Career

Mike Lambert played indoor volleyball with the Cardinals at Stanford University and from 1995 to 2000 in the US national team . For four years he also played in the Italian league with Pallavolo Piacenza . He took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta and the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , where he was eliminated after the preliminary round. He then switched to beach volleyball and played on the AVP Tour from 2001 to 2008 , where he had his most successful season in 2004 with Charles Kiraly . Mike Lambert was “Most Valuable Player 2004”, “Best Offensive Player 2004” and “Team of the Year 2004” with Karch Kiraly. He also played internationally with Stein Metzger in 2006 and 2007. Lambert / Metzger were AVP "Team of the Year 2006" and finished 17th at the 2007 World Cup in Gstaad .

Private

Mike Lambert is married to the Italian Deborah. The two live in Costa Mesa ( California ) and have a daughter and a son.
