Mike Lehmann was a radio comedy for the radio station Fritz from 1993 to 2003 . The character Mike Lehmann is an invention of the long-time Fritz moderator and producer Uwe Wassermann and was spoken by Fritz archivist Peter “Pluto” Neuber. Neuber reportedly played himself as he's a pub, heavy metal, and soccer fan with long hair in real life too. Since September 27, 2019 Neuber has been moderating the program Born to be Mike on radioeins from RBB every two weeks, under his alter ego Mike Lehmann .

Radio adventure

Mike Lehmann had various radio adventures with Fritz at 9 a.m., later at 7 and 9 a.m. This included the following stations:

  • the campground C65 in Horstenlochnitz am Griebensee
  • Mike Lehmann on the Woltersdorf / Schleuse (east) construction site
  • Mike Lehmann in the Wild West (in the Wild West decoration of the Karl May Museum in Radebeul)
  • Mike Lehmann in a situation
  • Mike Lehmann in Märchenland (recordings were used for this, from which Moppi's contributions were cut out and Mike Lehmann's comments were inserted instead)
  • Mike Lehmann's singing, sounding ABC of words
  • Moments

These adventures were written, among others, by Uwe Wassermann, who also mostly took on the role of voiceover. Most of the construction site stories came from Michi Balzer.

Furthermore, as the “fish feeder of the ORB aquarium ”, he provided information in various informative articles (“Mike Lehmann's aquarium advisor ”). Mike Lehmann also provided interesting information (for example on the job of a clerk) through “Professions in Pictures”.

There were also evening Lehmann specials and other opportunities for moderation (for example the opening of the Fritz store or the Columbia Fritz).

Mike Lehmann also had short appearances in occasional Fritz jingles. Most of the time you could hear him writing a letter in a naive way to people who were currently present in the international media. These letters were then about a German-English language conglomerate ("Dear Mr. President, lover George! Do you still have all the cups in your cupboard? ...").

Contributors

Contributors to the radio adventures were among others

  • his friend Jackhammer-Bernte (actually Bernd Kwingzapf; in the Wild West adventures also called Komantschen-Bernd)
  • Hammer Hans
  • Drill chuck-Wilfried
  • his better half Trude
  • his (temporary) girlfriend Baate
  • the Imbusmann (also known as the puke cooker or cook of horror, who prepares and serves the construction workers the most disgusting "gobble" or other nasty things)
  • the construction manager (in) Gerd Posam
  • Susanne
  • the serious rider on his horse
  • the white bear
  • Container-John (winner of the first Big Brother season )
  • the ZePaLei (camp site manager) Fred
  • Mr. Tenant (construction site)
  • The Inka (trainee from Borsigwalde / Berlin-Reinickendorf from 2002, "'ne Wessi-Tussi" with far more intelligence than Mike and Bernte put together)
  • Fleischer-Jürgen (a former poorly spoken butcher who was mistaken for a half of a pig by his colleagues at the time and was therefore hung on a pig's hook in a cold store for three weeks - as a result, the employment office was of the opinion that Fleischer-Jürgen would just as well “knufn the building "Could)
  • The Comrade Building Defense Council
  • Merkel-Nando (Bernte's dog)

Deposition

In December 2002, Radio Fritz decided to end the adventure and the collaboration with the freelancer Neuber. This was justified with "signs of wear and tear". Peter Neuber took legal action against this and sued for reinstatement and recognition of the status as an employee before the labor court in Potsdam . The proceedings went to the second instance.
