Radio comedy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Radio comedy refers to a radio-specific form of comedy that is based on journalistic contributions from the radio program. For example, parodied interviews , voices or pieces of music or original sound collages can be used for humorous purposes. Nowadays, mostly short episodes with a length of around 90 seconds, which are also known as comics (Bollinger, 2004), are broadcast. Until the late 1990s, however, there were also longer radio comedy formats (e.g. entertainment on weekends from WDR 2 or Frühstyxradio from Radio ffn ).

Radio comedy is partly produced in so-called syndicates , i. H. the corresponding format is not marketed specifically for the station, but in various federal states or regions.
